This tutorial will guide you through making a quilted Easter table runner with embroidered appliqué eggs. You will piece the background, add machine embroidery, and quilt the layers together. The design features vertical strips and colorful eggs, creating a festive look for your table. Follow the steps to sew, quilt, and embellish your own holiday decoration. We used the designs from the Easter Egg Ornament Set. The finished size of the quilt is about 17" x 41".

Embroidery |
Upload the files of the Easter Egg Ornament Set to the embroidery machine. Select threads. Choose the positions of the designs on the top. You can use either paper print-outs or test stitch-outs of the designs. Stabilize. Hoop the fabric tightly and embroider the designs one by one. Remove the excess stabilizer.

Quilting and Finishing

Now place the backing on a flat surface (table) face down. Cover with batting. Spread your working piece over it.
Pin all layers together. We quilted in a free-motion style all over the working piece. Change quilting threads as needed. If you are a beginner, draw the quilting patterns with chalk pencils first. |
 |
Press with heavy steam. Square the piece.Finish the raw edges with the binding. |
