Assembly:
Note: seam allowance is 1/4", press the seam immediately after you make it. |
Sew the blue 1" x 27 1/2" to the long sides of the central part. Then sew the blue 1" x 10" strips to the short sides of the central part. |
Sew the orange 1 1/2" x 28 1/2" strips to the long sides of the working piece and the orange 1 1/2" x 12" strips to the short sides of the working piece.
Sew the yellow 2" x 31 1/2" strips to the long sides of the working piece and the yellow 2" x 15" strips to the short sides of the working piece. |
Sew the green 3" x 33 1/2" strips to the long sides of the working piece and the green 3" x 21" strips to the short sides of the working piece. |
Embroidery:
Mark the position of the embroidery on the central part. If you have a printer and embroidery software, print-outs of the designs can be helpful. If you do not, you can cut out rectangles of the same size as the designs and arrange them on the fabric to determine the position of the embroidery.
We placed the designs in the ... - one group facing one long side and another group facing another long side. (?) Stabilize the chosen area. Hoop the fabric tightly and embroider the designs one by one.

Quilting and Finishing
Now place the backing on a flat surface (table) face down. Cover with batting. Spread your working piece over it.
Pin all layers together.
We quilted in a free-motion style all over the quilt. |
Press with heavy steam. Square the quilt - the opposite sides should be of the same length and all corners 90 degrees. Finish the raw edges with the binding. |
Have fun! |
