Here is an idea for a fast and easy decoration for Valentine's Day. The designs used in the project are from the FSL Battenberg Heart Set II and FSL Battenberg Heart Earrings Set.

You will need :
- cotton embroidery threads (see instructions on how to embroider Battenberg Lace designs),
- an empty picture frame without glass (our frame is 18" x 18"),
- a bunch of twigs,
- garden scissors,
- hot glue gun,
- any red colored embellishments (optional), we used red miniature Christmas tree balls.
- wire hooks for Christmas ornaments (optional).

| Assembly: |
Cover your table with old newspapers or plastic. Place the frame face down. Cut the twigs to fit the frame.

Using the hot glue gun, attach the twigs to the frame.
|
|
Leave to dry.
|

Embroidery:
|
Upload the files from the FSL Battenberg Heart Set II and FSL Battenberg Heart Earrings Set into your machine. Embroider them one by one. Please follow our instructions for the Battenberg Lace designs.
After the stitch-outs are dry, put them on wire hooks. Alternatively, you can make thread loops.

Put the ornaments on the twigs in the frame.

| If you feel that there is not enough color in your still-life, either add more stitch-outs, or add other ornaments. We added mini Christmas tree balls. |
