Trees in Season Quilted Bell Pull
This bell pull is very easy to sew, and makes a great wall hanging for a narrow space.

For this quilted bell pull we used the designs from the Trees in Season Set. All designs are for the small hoop (4"x 4").

The finished size is about 9" x 32".

You will need :
  • embroidery threads, either polyester or rayon, according to the color cards of the designs,
  • light colored fabric for the background,
  • fabric for the borders and binding,
  • scraps of colored fabrics -- pink, green, yellow, red and orange -- for sashing (we recommend matching these fabrics to the colors of the embroidery),
  • light- to medium-weight cut-away embroidery stabilizer,
  • batting,
  • fabric for the backing,
  • iron.
Embroidery
Upload the files into the machine, choose your threads, stabilize the light-colored fabric and embroider the files one by one.

Trim the stitch-outs to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" squares.
Cutting:
Out of pink and orange scraps each, cut
  • 2 strips measuring 1" x 5 1/2" and
  • 1 strip measuring 1" x 6 1/2".
Out of all other scraps of each color, cut 2 strips measuring 1" x 5 1/2".
You'll need 2 of these strips for each stitch-out.
Out of the fabric for the borders, cut
  • 2 strips measuring 2" x 31 1/2" and
  • 2 strips measuring 2" x 9 1/2".
Use the remaining fabric for the binding.
Assembly:
Note: Seam allowance is 1/4", press the seam immediately after you made it.
Sew the colored 1" x 5 1/2" strips to the left and right edges of each block.
