For this fast and simple project we used the designs from the One-Color Vintage Santa Set. The designs are available in 3 sizes: large (5" x 7"), mega (6" x 10") and commercial (8" x 12") hoops. You can choose any size depending on the size of the boxes.
You will need:
- embroidery threads, either polyester or rayon, the choice of colors is yours,
- white gift boxes,
- light-colored cotton fabric,
- light-weight embroidery stabilizer, preferably iron-on,
- permanent fabric adhesive or white glue,
- decorative scotch tape,
- iron,
- quilter's ruler and rotary cutter, or scissors and pencil,
- additional embellishments, such as small beads or rhinestones, are great, but not necessary.

Embroidery
Hoop the fabric with light-weight stabilizer. Tighten the hoop securely. Upload the file of your choice into the machine. Embroider the file.

Decorating the Gift Box
Measure the lid of the box and trim the stitch-out accordingly: the stitch-out should be at least 1" smaller than the lid.
Cover the back of the stitch-out with a thin coat of adhesive and position it on the lid. Press. Leave to dry.
Spread decorative scotch tape along the borders/margins of the embroidery, overlapping them about 1/4".
You are done! Don't forget to put a gift in your beautiful box!
