Bookmark/Bracelet Set
These are instructions on how to embroider the designs from the Bookmark/Bracelet Set.

Both designs come in 3 sizes to fit different wrists. All designs fit into a standard large hoop (5" x 7").

You will need :
  • embroidery thread,
  • wash-away mesh stabilizer,
  • polyester craft felt,
  • any fabric of your choice for applique,
  • applique scissors,
  • jewelry supplies and tools: pliers, ribbon ends and bracelet clasps.

Celtic Bracelet / Bookmark
Hoop 1-2 layers of water-soluble mesh. Upload the file into the machine. Start it. The first color will embroider the outline of the bracelet over the stabilizer..
Cover the outline with a piece of felt. Start the machine, it will embroider the same outline and some details inside the outline over the felt.

With a pair of sharp scissors cut away the felt around the outline, then between the lines as shown on the picture below. Take care not to cut through the stabilizer and stitches.

Return the hoop to the machine and cover the stitch-out with a piece of cotton fabric. Start the machine. It will embroider the same motif over the fabric.

With a pair of sharp scissors cut away the fabric around the outline and between the parallel lines as in the previous step.
Return the hoop to the machine. The next color will finish all raw edges.
The last color will embroider the Celtic motif. Choose any colors you like.

Cut the wash-away stabilizer close to the stitches. Wash out the remainder, spread on a flat suface and leave to air dry.

You can choose to embroider the bracelet without applique fabric, using only felt, like our black stitch-out. You can further decorate the bracelets with crystals, rhinestones, beads, etc.

The Rose Bracelet / Bookmark.
The embroidery technique of this bracelet slightly differs from the Celtic bracelet.
Hoop 1-2 layers of water-soluble mesh. Upload the file into the machine. Start it. The first color will embroider the outline of the bracelet over the stabilizer.
Cover the outline with a piece of felt. Start the machine, it will embroider the same outline and some details inside the outline over the felt.

Return the hoop to the machine, start it. It will finish the raw outer edges of the bracelet.

Cover the stitch-out with a piece of applique fabric. Start the machine. It will embroider the outline of the central part.

With a pair of sharp scissors cut away the excess fabric around the outline.

The next, 5th, color will embroider the bridges. The 6th color will finish the raw edges. You can use the same thread, or change colors if you wish.
The 7th color will embroider the leaves, and the 8th - roses.

Making Bracelets:
Our stitch-outs can be used as bookmarks, or you can turn them into bracelets.
You will need some jewelry tools and supplies.

First attach ribbon ends:

Then attach clasps. There are a lot of choice of clasps in craft stores, ypu can use whichever you like.

You can also use small embellishments, like crystals, beads, rhinestones, etc.
