Fashion Paper Doll with Dresses

These are instructions on how to embroider the Fashion Paper Doll with Dresses

Doll:
Stitches: 11,135
Size: 60 x 179 mm
Colors: 7/10

Dress 1:
Stitches: 13,516
Size: 88 x 138 mm
Colors: 4/4

Dress 2:
Stitches: 7200
Size: 65 x 87 mm
Colors: 5/5

Dress 3:
Stitches: 9974
Size: 128 x 134 mm
Colors: 6/6

You will need :

• embroidery threads (according to the color cards),
• light-weight cut-away stabilizer,
• white polyester craft felt,
• nylon tulle with small netting holes,
• organza,
• light-weight fabrics (optional),
• scissors.

The Doll:

Hoop a layer of polyester craft felt stabilized with a layer of light-weight cut-away stabilizer.

Upload the doll design into the machine and embroider it following the color card.
After you get used to the colors card, feel free to change the colors to your taste - you can change the skin tone, the hair and underwear colors.

Using sharp scissors, cut away the doll as close to the stitches as possible.

The Dresses: Dress 1 and 2

To embroider dresses 1 and 2 you will need watersoluble stabilizer and tulle.

Make a sandwich - a layer of stabilizer - tulle - stabilizer. Hoop the sandwich. Embroider the design with dress 1 or 2. Make the first run following our colors cards. Later, feel free to choose your own colors.

Wash out the stabilizer and leave the stitch-outs to air dry.

With a pair of sharp scissors, cut away the netting.

You can also embroider these dresses on fabric, using only the outline of the design.

Hoop a layer of watersoluble stabilizer with a layer of non-raveling fabric. On the photo below we showed that we hooped a layer of stabilizer, and placed a layer of silver light-weight nylon and a layer of shimmering organza on the stabilizer, as if embroidering applique.

Embroider only the outline of the design.

Wash away the stabilizer. Cut away the fabric as close to the stitches as possible.
In this way, using the same design but different fabrics, you can get a lot of different dresses.

Dress 3:

For this dress you will need watersoluble mesh and organza. Make a sandwich: layer of stabilizer - layer of organza - layer of stabilizer. Hoop the sandwich.

Embroider the design. Again, first use our color card, later you can choose your own colors.

Wash out the stabilizer.

Cut away the excess organza.
