Snowman Applique Set

These are instructions on how to embroider the designs from the Snowman Set The designs are available in 3 sizes: for the large hoop (5" x 7"), mega hoop (6"x 10" ) and commercial hoop (8" x 12"). The size of each design in the sets is listed on the product page.

You will need

• embroidery thread (either polyester or rayon),
• light- to medium-weight iron-on cut-away stabilizer,
• base fabric (fabric on which you make the embroidery)
• scraps of fabrics for the applique,
• sharp applique scissors.

Stabilize the base fabric with medium-weight iron-on cut away stabilizer.
Stabilize applique fabrics with light- to medium-weight weight iron-on cut away stabilizer.

Upload the files into the machine. While we recommend certain colors, you can actually choose any colors you like for these designs

Snowman 1 (Snow Mom):

Applique fabric is used for the body, broom and hat.

Color 1 embroiders the outline of the broom.

Cover the outline with a piece of applique fabric.

Color 2 embroiders the same outline over the fabric.

With a pair of sharp scissors, neatly cut away the fabric around the outline.

Color 3 embroiders broom details over the broom fabric.

Color 4 finishes the raw edges of the broom fabric and embroiders the broomstick.

Color 5 embroiders the hands of the snow lady.

Color 6 embroiders the outline of the body.

Cover the outline with white fabric, start the machine.

Color 7 embroiders the same outline over the fabric.

With a pair of sharp scissorsm cut away the fabric around the outline.

Color 8 embroiders some shadows on the body. You can use light gray or light blue colors.

Color 9 finishes the raw edges of the body.

Color 10 embroiders the outline of the hat.

Cover the outline with a piece of applique fabric and start the machine.

Color 11 embroiders the same outline over the fabric.

Cut away the fabric around the outline.

Color 12 finishes the raw edges of the hat.

Color 13 embroiders the bow on the hat.

Color 14: embroiders the scarf.

Color 15 embroiders eyes, mouth and buttons.

Snowman 2 (Snow Boy):

This design relies less on applique fabric. Applique fabric is used only for the body. The other parts are embroidered.

Color 1 embroiders the skis.

Color 2 embroiders the skis' outline.

Color 3 embroiders the snowman's arms on the skis.

Color 4: embroiders the outline of the snowman's body.

Cover the outline with a piece of applique fabric.

Color 5 embroiders the same outline over the fabric.

Cut away the fabric around the outline.

Color 6 embroiders shadows on the body.

Color 7 finishes the raw edges of the fabric.

Color 8 embroiders the hat and half the stripes of the scarf.

Color 9 embroiders the other stripes of the scarf.

Color 10 embroiders the edges of the hat and scarf.

Color 11 embroiders the eyes and mouth

Snowman 3 (Snow Dad):

You will need applique fabric for the body and the hat. Everything else is embroidered.

Color 1 embroiders the outline of the body.

Cover the outline with a piece of fabric.

Color 2 embroiders the same outline over the fabric. Cut away the fabric around the outline.

Color 3 embroiders shadows over the fabric.

Color 4 finishes the raw edges of the fabric.

Color 5 embroiders the outline of the hat.

Cover the outline with a piece of fabric.

Color 6 embroiders the same outline over the fabric. Cut away the fabric around the outline.

Color 7 finishes the raw edges of the fabric and embroiders the eyes and mouth of the snowman.

Color 8 embroiders the briefcase.

Color 9 embroiders the outline and the handle of the briefcase.

Color 10 embroiders the hand and the pipe.

Color 11 embroiders one color of the tie.

Color 12 embroiders the second color of the tie.

Color 13 embroiders the outline of the tie.

Snowman 4 - Snow Girl

You will need applique fabric for the body.

Color 1 embroiders the outline of the body

Cover the outline with a piece of fabric,

Color 2 embroiders the same outline over the fabric. Cut away the fabric around the outline.

Color 3 embroiders shadows over the fabric.

Color 4 embroiders the bird.

Color 5 embroiders the bird's outline.

Color 6 embroiders the bird's beak.

Color 7 embroiders the girl's hand.

Color 8 finishes the raw edges of the fabric

Color 9 embroiders the hair.

Color 10 embroiders one of the colors of the hat and scarf.

Color 11 embroiders the second color of the hat and the scarf.

Color 12 embroiders the pom-pom.

Color 13 embroiders the hat's and scarf's outline.

Color 14 embroiders the mouth and eyes (of both the girl and bird).
