Please read the instructions on how to embroider the Cutwork Hibiscus design. Our base fabric is black, applique fabrics are bright green and bright red. Select embroidery threads to match your bright green fabric.
After the embroidery is finished, wash away the water-soluble stabilizer. Trim the working piece to 9 1/2" x 15 1/2".
Take the pale green piece 6 1/2" x 12 1/2", place it under the embroidery, face up, pin in place. On your sewing machine, using black threads, stitch two layers together along the outer edge of the embroidery.

Quilting and Finishing:
Now place the backing on a flat surface (table) face down. Cover with batting. Spread your working piece over it.
Pin all three layers together with 1" pins and start quilting. We quilted in a free motion style.
After the quilting is finished, press the work with heavy steam and square the work -- all corners should be 90 degrees and opposite sides should be of the same length.
Sew the green and red 2 1/2"-wide strips into a long strip for the binding.
Finish the raw edges.
Your quilt is ready.
