These are instructions on how to embroider blocks from the Stained Glass Applique Block Set. The set comes in three sizes: for the large (5" x 7"), mega (6" x 10"), and commercial grade (6" x 12") hoops.
The finished size of the block with the applique embroidery is about 10"-12", depending on the space you wish to leave around the embroidery.
The designs have a double zig-zag-stitch finish. We recommend to use cotton or polyester machine quilting threads for the finish.

You will need base fabric (we recommend black), fabric for the applique, light-weight stabilizer, embroidery threads, machine quilting cotton threads and temporary fabric adhesive in a stick.
All four blocks are embroidered in the same way.
Step One: Hoop the black fabric stabilized with the stabilizer needed for your project. We used light-weight cut-away stabilizer.
Upload the file into your machine. Start embroidering. The machine will embroider the outline of the firstgroup of shapes and stop.
Place a very small amount of the fabric glue inside the shape. Cover the shape with a piece of fabric (the color of your choice), press a little with the tips of your fingers so that the applique fabric adheres to the base and does not shift during the next step.
Start the machine.
The machine will embroider the same shapes over the applique fabric and stop.
Take the hoop from the machine. With a pair of sharp scissors cut away the fabric around the shapes as close to the stitches as possilbe. Return the hoop to the machine.
Step Two: The next color will embroider the outline of the petals. Again, place a small amount of glue inside the outlines.
Cover the petals with a piece of applique fabric. Start the machine. It will embroider the same shapes over the applique fabric.
Cut away the fabric around the petals as close to the stitches as possible.
Step Three: Embroider the next group of shapes. Place some glue inside the outlines.
Cover the outlines with the applique fabric. Start the machine. It will embroider the same outline over the fabric.
Cut away the applique fabric around the outline as close to the stitches as possible.
Step Four: The next color will embroider the shapes in the lower part of the block. Place some glue in the centers.
Place applique fabric over the outlines and start the machine. It will embroider the same shapes over the applique fabric.
Cut away the fabric outside the shapes.
Step Five: The next color will embroider the same shapes in the upper part of the block. Place some glue in the centers.
Place applique fabric over the outlines and start the machine. It will embroider the same shapes over the applique fabric.
Cut away the fabric outside the shapes.
Step Six: Return the hoop to the machine and let it finish the raw edges. Change threads when needed. The designs have a double zig-zag-stitch finish. We recommend to use cotton or polyester machine quilting threads for the finish.
Trim the blocks to the size you need.
