Here are some ideas for possible projects with the designs Lady with Cat, Lady in Ball Dress and Going for a Ride.
This idea was actually inspired by a project of Marilyn Fromherz from Cailimesa, California. The center of the pillow case was printed on fabric (printable fabric is available in craft stores). The embroidery was fulfilled on organza with 2 layers of Vilene wash-away stabilizer. After the embroidery was finished, we cut away the excess organza, washed away the stablizer and set the embroidery out to air-dry. Then we stitched it onto the pillow front. so that it would overlap the printed fabric in the center. After that, we assembled the pillow case.
Step One: Prepare a piece of fabric, big enough to be hooped in mega frame. Stabilise it with iron-on tear-away stabilizer.
Step Two: Select a picture for the background and print it out on fabric transfer paper. Following instructions on the package transfer the background to your stabilized fabric.
Step Three: Hoop the fabric in a mega frame trying not to crinkle the picture. Fulfill the embroidery. Tear away the stabilizer.
Now you can either frame the picture or use it for a project of your choice.
