This set of machine embroidery designs is part of our Applique and For Kids Applique collections. It uses the Applique technique. The designs will fit the Large hoop (5" x 7").
For the first applique you will need scraps of 3 fabrics. Hoop the base fabric and place the first scrap of the applique fabric, with stabilizer, over it. Stitch out the outline. Do not take the fabric out of the hoop! Cut away the excess fabric as close to the outline as possible.
Place the second scrap of fabric, with stabilizer, and embroider the outline of the cap. Cut away the excess fabric as close to the outline as possible.
Place the third scrap of fabric, with stabilizer, and embroider the outline of the face. Cut away the excess fabric as close to the outline as possible.
Now insert the hoop into machine and finish the embroidery, changing threads in accordance with the color chart.
The applique is ready. For the second design you'll need only one scrap of fabric. Read more...
