This set of machine embroidery designs is part of our Freestanding Crochet Lace Borders collection. It uses the Freestanding Crochet Lace technique. The designs will fit the Mega hoop (6" x 10").
You can find detailed intructions on how to embroider crochet-style FSL in our General Guidelines and Step-by-Step Guide to Embroidering our Crochet-Style FSL designs.
To make this table topper, embroider the crochet parts and stitch the lace together. You will get a lace frame. Place the frame over a fabric square. With a removable marker, mark the outlines of the lace. Remove the lace. On the inner, smallest square, embroider the cross-stitch motif.
Pin the lace to the fabric within the marked boundaries again. Using short but not very dense zig-zag, attach the lace to the fabric. With sharp scissors, cut away the fabric from under the lace. Return to your sewing machine and using denser zig-zag attach the lace to the fabric.
