This set of machine embroidery designs is part of our In-the-Hoop (ITH) and Quilting collections. It uses the Blackwork technique. The designs will fit the Large hoop (5" x 7").
To make these cards, hoop a layer of fabric with a layer of low-loft batting. Embroider the design. Cut away the excess fabric, leaving 1"-2" fields around the embroidery.
Out of cardstock, cut a card twice as large as your embroidery. Using spray adhesive, attach the embroidery to one half of the cardstock. Finish the raw edges. We used zig-zag stitch to attach and finish the raw edge of the embroidery along the middle of the card and bias tape to finish the other 3 raw edges of the embroidery.
Fold the left half of the cardstock to the back. Your card is ready! The finished size of this card is 6" x 8". You can make them smaller or larger. The choice of colors is also up to you. Happy embroidering!
