This machine embroidery design is part of our Christmas Snowmen collection. It uses the Photo Stitch technique. It will fit the Large hoop (5" x 7").
We used this design to make a patriotic Christmas stocking.
Draw a stocking pattern on a large piece of white felt. Stabilize and embroider the design approximately in the center of the pattern. Cut out the pattern, leaving seam allowance. Out of red felt, cut red stripes and stitch them onto the stocking using any decorative stitch on your machine.
Cut stars out of white felt and machine-stitch (or glue) to a blue piece of felt. Stitch the blue piece to the upper part of the stocking.
Make the other half of the stocking in the same way. Then place both parts face to face and machine stitch along the edges.
Turn the stocking inside out. Finish the upper edge with bias tape and attach a loop.
