Embroidery Contest 2016

" I used one of several of your cutwork designs that I have purchased in the last few years. It is the Daisy Cutwork Corner.
I created the doily for my mother for Mother's Day after she had mentioned how many times she disliked putting a vase on runners or doilies she owned because the embroidery in the center was always covered up. I decided to make the cutwork edge the pretty part and highlighted the shape with a ring of flowers created by repeating a single flower design in Embird to match. Rather than following the direction on constructing a rectangular runner of doily I decided to make a round one using 5 repeats of the design. With a tiny amount of editing the designs blended well and were easy to stitch together."
