"My project name is Kitchen Table Plastic-Covered Burlap Flower Tablecloth.
I took a piece of burlap the size of our round kitchen table. I trimmed it into a circle. Then embroidered each of the flowers in a circular design. Sewed plastic onto the burlap and hemmed it with an opening to put elastic in the hem. I placed the burlap tablecloth on my round table and pulled the elastic until it was tight around the table. I tied the elastic in a knot and cut the ends. I also embroidered each flower on other pieces of burlap and put ironing board utility fabric sewn under the burlap and fringed the burlap edges. These are used as hot pads for hot dishes and they match the tablecloth and look great. The hot pads are washable. The plastic tablecloth washes up great with a damp cloth. My table always looks great and serves every tablecloth purpose.
The sewing machine I used for this project is Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond Deluxe.
The Advanced Embroidery designs that I used were: Lilac, Magnolia, Saguaro Cactus, Golden Poppy, Forget-Me-Not, Bluebonnet, Peony, Balloon Flower, Black-Eyed Susan, Iris, Rose, Coast Rhododendron and Sunflower."
