The very first contestant used the shoe pattern and the summer shorts & blouse patterns. She writes: "They were very easy and turned out very well. This doll is one of the ones that I "dress" for the Salvation Army. They provide the doll for free to anyone who wants to dress them. Once they are dressed they are returned to Salvation Army for distribution to underpriveleged girls, at Christmas."
