This original quilt features one-color designs from the Ancient Greece Set for the mega hoop. We used black and tan fabrics and some traditional Ancient Greek motifs to create a resemblance to Greek pottery.
The finished size is about 20" x 48".

Embroidery:
Upload the files from the Ancient Greece Set into your machine and embroider them on light fabric.
Trim the stitch-outs. The horizontal stitch-outs should be 7 1/2" x 12 1/2", and the vertical stitch-outs 9 1/2" x 12 1/2".
Assembly of the Top
Sew the stitch-outs together into one panel with the 9 1/2" x 12 1/2" parts on the top and bottom and the 7 1/2" x 12 1/2" battle scenes in the middle:
Sew the 1 1/2" x 12 1/2" strips to the upper and lower edges.
Sew the 1 1/2" x 48 1/2" strips to the right and left edges.
Sew the blocks into a vertical strip:
Sew this strip to the left edge of the embroidered panel.
Sew the 1 1/2" x 48 1/2" black strip to the left edge of the top.
Quilting and Finishing:
Now place the backing on a flat surface (table) face down. Cover with batting. Spread your working piece over it.
Pin all three layers together with 1" pins and start quilting. We quilted with a meandering pattern around the embroidery and in the ditch on the blockst.
After the quilting is finished, press the work with heavy steam and square the work -- all corners should be 90 degrees and opposite sides should be of the same length.
Finish the raw edges with the binding.
Your wall quilt is done. Enjoy!
