These are instructions on how to embroider the Christmas Bell Cutwork design. The design is available in 3 sizes for large (5" x 7") and mega (6" x 8") and commercial grade hoops.
The design can be embroidered as freestanding lace or as an insert. We show both options.
You will need fabric, water soluble mesh and embroidery threads.
Step One: Hoop 1-2 layers of water soluble mesh. Cover the mesh with a piece of fabric. Start embroidering. The machine will embroider the outline of the design and stop.
Step Two: Cut away the fabric around the outer circle and inside the inner circle as shown on the picture below. Take care not to cut through the stitches.
Step Three: Return the hoop to the machine and finish embroidering.
Step Four: Wash away the stabilizer, neatly spread on a flat surface and leave to air dry. Press if needed.
We made a greeting card with the finished freestanding design.
