Some points to remember from the General Guidelines:
Use Vilene water soluble stabilizer;
Use the same thread for the upper and bobbin to get two-sided embroidery.
DO NOT embroider several designs in one hoop.
These are the instructions on how to assemble the Fairy Tale Fish Bowl and Doily Set from our catalog. Along with the embroidery files, you will get the color card, which will help you select the threads and also sort out the parts of the design.
Step One: To make the bowl, you'll have to embroider five bowl panels and the pentagon as the bottom. On the picture, the bowl panel is the one in the first row on the left. The pentagon is directly under the bowl panel, in the second row.
Use 2 layers of Vilene-type water-soluble stabilizer; use the same thread for both the needle and bobbin to get 2-sided embroidery.
Rinse the stabilizer and leave to air dry. Press all parts with steam.
Step Two: Connecting the bowl panels is a little trickier than usual. To do this, take two panels and align the edges.
Using a zig-zag, machine-stitch both panels along the side edge, as shown on the diagram over the edge.
Take the third panel and attach it to the second panel in the same manner.
When all five panels are stitched together, take the bottom and align one of its edges with the lower edge of one of the panels. Zig-zag over the edge. Cut the threads and tie.
Repeat for the the other edges. Make sure you stop and cut the threads away after stitching each of the panels -- do not try to make a continuous stitch.
To make this doily, you'll have to embroider six doily panels The doily panel is in the first row on the right.
The fish on the doily panels are looking at one another. To achieve this effect you should either embroider the doily two-sided, using the same thread for the bobbin as for the needle, or you can embroider three panels as they are and three panels as mirror images. If you choose the second method, you can use white bobbin thread as it doesn't have to be two-sided.
Use 2 layers of Vilene-type water-soluble stabilizer and one layer of organza.
