Some points to remember from the General Guidelines:
Use Vilene water soluble stabilizer;
Use the same thread for the upper and bobbin to get two-sided embroidery.
DO NOT embroider several designs in one hoop.
These are the instructions on how to assemble the Dolphin Bowl, Basket and Doily Set from our catalog. Along with the embroidery files, you will get the color card, which will help you select the threads and also sort out the many parts of the design.
Step One: To make the basket, you'll have to embroider four basket panels and the four small squares for the bottom. The basket panel is the one at the top of the picture. The small square is in the fourth row on the right. The names of the embroidery files are dolphinBowl4 and dolphinBowlMID.
Use 2 layers of Vilene-type water-soluble stabilizer and use the same thread for both the needle and bobbin to get 2-sided embroidery.
Rinse the stabilizer and leave to air dry.
Step Two: Press all parts with steam. If you want to decorate the panels with hot fix crystals, you should do so at this point. Place a piece of cloth or non-stick paper on an ironing board and place a panel over it. Put the crystals where you want them to be, cover with a non-stick paper or another piece of cloth and press with a hot iron.
Step Three: Press all parts with steam. To make the bottom, sew together all four squares with invisible thread. Continue as you would with any other freestanding bowl. Read instructions in our Guide to Assembling a Freestanding Bowl.
Step One: To make the bowl, you'll have to embroider six bowl panels and the hexagon as the bottom. The bowl panel is the one in the second row on the left of the picture. The hexagon is in the fourth row on the left. The names of the embroidery files are DolphinBowl and Poligon6.
Use 2 layers of Vilene-type water-soluble stabilizer and use the same thread for both the needle and bobbin to get 2-sided embroidery.
Rinse the stabilizer and leave to air dry.
Step Two: Press all parts with steam and sew them together with invisible thread. Read instructions on how to do this in our Guide to Assembling a Freestanding Bowl.
Doily One: To make this doily, you'll have to embroider six doily panels and the hexagon as the center. The doily panel is in the second row on the right of the picture. The doily hexagon is in the lower corner on the left. The names of the embroidery files are Doily and DoilyPoligon6.
For the doily, you can use white bobbin thread as it doesn't have to be two-sided.
Rinse the stabilizer and leave to air dry. Press with steam and stitch the parts together using invisible thread.
Doily Two: To make the second doily, you'll have to embroider the parts in the third row of the diagram and the crescent in the lower right corner. The names of the embroidery files are: DoilyMid, dolphinDoily and DoilyCorner.
First embroider the eight square parts with dolphin (third row on the left, embroidery file dolphinDoily). Use one layer of organza and 2 layers of Vilene-type water-soluble stabilizer. Use the white bobbin thread.
Second, embroider four large squares, which are in the third row on the right in the picture. The embroidery file is DoilyMid. Use Vilene-type water-soluble stabilizer. Use white bobbin thread.
Third, embroider four crescents, file DoilyCorner. Use Vilene-type water-soluble stabilizer. Use the white bobbin thread.
Cut away the excess stabilizer and organza. Rinse the stabilizer and leave to air dry.
Press with steam and assemble as shown on the photos.
