Some points to remember from the General Guidelines:
Use Vilene water soluble stabilizer;
Use the same thread for the upper and bobbin to get two-sided embroidery.
DO NOT embroider several designs in one hoop.
These are the instructions on how to assemble the 3D Daisy Bowl and Doily Set from our catalog. Along with the embroidery files, you will get the color card, which will help you select the threads and also sort out the many parts of the design.
Step One: To make the bowl, you'll have to embroider six bowl panels and the hexagon as the bottom. The bowl panel is the one in the upper left corner of the picture. The hexagon is in the fourth row on the left.
Use 2 layers of Vilene-type water-soluble stabilizer and use the same thread for both the needle and bobbin to get 2-sided embroidery.
Rinse the stabilizer and leave to air dry.
Step Two: Press all parts with steam and sew them together with invisible thread. Read instructions on how to do this in our Guide to Assembling a Freestanding Bowl.
Step Three: To make a doily, you'll have to embroider seven doily panels and the septagon as the center. The doily panel is in the upper right corner of the picture. The septagon is in the fourth row on the right. For the doily, you can use white bobbin thread as it doesn't have to be two-sided.
Rinse the stabilizer and leave to air dry. Press with steam and stitch the parts together using invisible thread.
The parts in the second row of the diagram can be assembled into a 3D daisy.
First, embroider all the parts.
Use one layer of organza and 2 layers of Vilene-type water-soluble stabilizer. Use the same thread for both the needle and bobbin to get 2-sided embroidery. When making the center of the flower, you can use white bobbin thead. Rinse the stabilizer and leave to air dry. Do not press.
Apply hot fix crystals to the center of the flower, if you wish.
Sew both "petal" parts of the daisy together.
Sew the center of the flower over the petals. Use either invisible or silver metallic thread.
The 3D daisy can be used as additional decoration to a bowl, or independently as a pin for any garment, such as a jacket, hat, dress, T-shirt and so on.
The part in the third row, two daisies, can be embroidered separately wherever you need it, and can be used both as a regular embroidery and as a freestanding one.
The parts in the fifth and sixth rows on the picture are coasters and the parts in the last row are glass skirts.
Using your own imagination, the coasters and other parts of the set, you can arrange and sew them into different styles of doilies, table runners and place mats.
We hope that you liked this set. More freestanding lace sets can be found in our catalog.
